Geneva College is accepting applications for two full-time, tenure track positions in the History Department. Ph.D. preferred (ABDs also considered). The first position requires specialization in one or more non-western fields (fields of particular interest include Asia and the Middle East). Applicants with strong minor field in non-western history, and who are interested in expanding their knowledge and ability to teach non-western history will be considered. The second position requires specialization in European history.
Both positions are for a 12-hour teaching load per semester. Half of the teaching load will be in courses offered by the history department and half will be in an interdisciplinary humanities program that is part of the core. The candidate should have a promising record in both scholarship and teaching.
