I am currently doing an Honours degree in North Queensland (Australia)
History and am interested in the British convict history and the later
free settlers. I am particularly interested in why North Queensland was
chosen by immigrants from Britain and the various schemes they came out
under. If anyone has any information or books they could refer me to, I'd
be very grateful.
