Subject: publication opportunity

Greenwood Press is publishing a collection of essays on Civil War
sources, edited by Steven E. Woodworth. These essays run between 3000 and
6000 words and are designed to introduce undergraduates to the sources in
the field and are not designed to be a comprehensive "last word." Most
of the topics are taken, but Steve Woodworth (who is not on the Internet) has
asked me to invite H-CivWar folk to write those that aren't taken. The
remaining topics are: "Published Papers," "Unpublished Manuscript
Collections," and "Union Foreign Relations." Obviously, the third topic
would require specialized knowledge, but someone with a good working
knowledge of the general field could handle the first two. My assumption
is that graduate students would be welcomed, though I don't make these
kinds of decisions.

If anyone is interested, you might write to Steven E. Woodworth, Toccoa
Falls College, Toccoa Falls, GA 30598. His office number is (706)
886-6831, and his home number is (706) 886-6275.
