Just in case anyone has not heard from other sources, Disney announced
that they are dropping their plans to build Disney's America at Haymarket,
but they are looking for another site in Virginia.

The battle is not over. The preservationists are encouraged to watch and
make sure that lower-profile, but more obtrusive, development does not
occur near Manassas and that the new site does not threaten any of the
100+ Civil War sites in Virginia.

The historians have won the first round, but since their objections are to
content and not location (so thay said <g>) the fight is not over as long
as Disney continues to look for a new site.

If you hear someone refer to this as "The Third Battle of Manassas," then
ask them what it was called when Til Hazel wanted to put a shopping mall
on Lee's headquarters and Congress stepped in and bought the land.
