I've heard a little of a battle that took place in Missouri on
or about Sept. 24, 1864, at which both sides reportedly flew make-
shift black flags. Reportedly the CSA was led by Bloody Bill
of Quantrill's Raiders. Two cavalry units met on the field of
battle, the Union misread, dismounted, and met the enemy on foot.
Does anyone have further details on this battle?
