H-Net, Humanities & Social Sciences OnLine, with the financial support of the National Endowment for the Humanities and Michigan State University, hosted a conference on the use of new educational technologies in the teaching of humanities on September 25-28, 1997, in East Lansing, Michigan.

In the next few weeks, this site will be publishing online versions of the conference papers and will be broadcasting RealAudio clips of various presentations. Visitors to this site are encouraged to respond to and comment on the conference proceedings. These comments will then be posted to the Envision website and will provide a way for individuals that could not physically attend the conference to participate online.
