The newsletter made new contacts in Europe (from the Balkans to the British Isles) and Africa (places we aren't able to name), and many other hemispheres and time-zones. More important, we've made great advances towards setting up an American and a European listserv. So we'll soon be able to post all this great information we've been gathering. What sorts of things will we post and constantly update? First of all, what would you like to see? What can you contribute? If your catalogs and course schedules are electronically produced... that is, if they go thru a wordprocessor or if the printer uses a computer to typeset... than you can upload the file and send it to us. The same goes for reading lists and abstracts. Some of the most promising ideas are short reviews of forthcoming books, listings of dissertations in progress, and calls for papers for upcoming conferences. We must first of all thank David Assaf and the WUJS for inviting us to work with them. I'd like to thank all of our friends who gave their time and attention to us at the congress. At the risk of forgetting someone, (especially since Avrum Goodblatt was also seeing people separately) I list in alphabetical order: Moshe Bernstein, Irene Lancaster, Harris Lenowitz, Mordecai Ostwald and Tzvee Zahavy. (I'm sure Avrum, as well as many irate friends, will correct my omissions by next week.) Highlights of the information we gathered at the congress: The WUJS Newsletter included a very interesting article by Daniel R.
