Black Studies/Critical Race Studies
The University of California, Davis, Department of English invites applicants for a tenure-track assistant professor in black studies grounded in literary and cultural studies. Applicant should have research and teaching interests in American, African, and/or African Diasporic materials. We welcome but do not require candidates in research areas that complement existing areas of strength on our campus, including environmental humanities, popular cultures, media studies, performance studies, and/or gender and sexuality studies. Applicants should be able to teach a diverse range of undergraduate and graduate courses in the field. Ph.D. in English or a related field is required and must be in hand by September 1, 2018.
