Cornell University’s Asian American Studies Program invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position to begin July 2018. We are searching at all ranks—Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor—and across multiple fields within the humanities and the social sciences. The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to research and teaching in the field of Asian American Studies. We seek candidates with expertise in areas such as cinema and media studies, transnational Asian and Asian American cultural production, citizenship studies, immigration studies, political theory, environmental studies, ethnographic filmmaking, and gender studies. We welcome comparative and interdisciplinary work within a transpacific framework. The candidate will hold a joint appointment in the Asian American Studies Program and the Cornell department most appropriate to their disciplinary training. The doctoral degree must be in hand prior to the appointment.
