Peking University and Princeton University have established a Postdoctoral Fellowship Program to train highly-qualified, early-career postdoctoral researchers in studies of contemporary China so they are positioned to become leaders in their respective fields. We invite applications for two postdocs for 2018–19.
Each fellowship is two years: first 12 months at Peking and next 12 months at Princeton with renewal after first year contingent on satisfactory performance. Preferred start is 9/1/2018. Position is open to early-career scholars in residence and participate actively. Position is open to any discipline as long as the research is on contemporary China. Research must be supervised by a faculty member at each University and must receive endorsement of a faculty member at each institution to apply.
Fellowship is open to highly qualified researchers of all nationalities who received their PhD no more than three years prior to the start of appointment. Applicants holding tenure or tenure-track faculty positions are not eligible.
Selection is based on academic excellence, quality of proposed research project, compelling demonstration of anticipated synergy, and commitment of both universities. Research proposal should include information on how the project will benefit from the research environments of both institutions.
