Bio: Amy C. Hudnall, M.A., was educated in History (MA) and History and German Studies (BA) at Appalachian State University. She studied at the Goethe Institute and the Bayerische Julius-Maximilians-Universität, Würzburg, Germany. She is a lecturer in the History and Women’s Studies Departments, Appalachian State University and a Research Assistant Professor at the Institute of Rural Health, Idaho State University. She taught at the Paedogogische Hochschule, Karlsruhe, Germany. Her work focuses on cross-cultural trauma and genocide from an historical reference, additionally, she teaches courses on peace and conflict. She has presented and published on the trauma experienced in captivity, human rights, secondary trauma, cultural relativism, and cross-cultural conflict. She is a member of the Project for Community Revitalization and Healing of Cultural Trauma in Indigenous People. She won the Conference of Southern Graduate Schools Outstanding Master’s Thesis Award for Best Thesis and the Cratis D. Williams Outstanding Thesis Award. |
