Bio: Caroline-Isabelle Caron, B.A., M.A. (Laval); D.E.A. (E.H.E.S.S.); Ph.D. (McGill) Assistant Professor, Department of History, Queen's University Current research: 2004-2007 SSHRC—Standard Research Grant Project : “Historical Commemorations and Celebrations in Local Acadian Communities, Nova Scotia, 1800-1960”, a Study into the representations of family and local pasts in the historical discourses prompted by commemorative celebrations in Canada’s minority French-language communities. The focus is on feasts and celebrations in Nova Scotia’s Acadian communities, with particular attention on local events and community organizations.
