Kathleen B. Williams Cogswell Polytechnical College I am presently writing an account of my father's experiences in the US Marine Corps before and during World War II, particularly focusing on his participation in the invasion of Saipan in June 1944. I am also interested in officer education in the US Marine Corps prior to and during WWII. In addition, I am continuing my research into the scientific development and operational use of airborne acoustic torpedoes by the US Navy and the British Royal Navy in WWII. |
