Bio: I am a native New Yorker, earning my high school diploma from Brooklyn Tech high school, a local public school. For my undergraduate degree I traveled up to Montreal to study at McGill University, where I was inspired by several outstanding history professors. I later earned my PhD in history from Stony Brook University (2010). While working toward my degree, I have taught over two dozen U.S. history classes at Stony Brook, Lehman College, Yeshiva University and the City College of New York. I am currently a Substitute Assistant Professor of History at Bronx Community College. This means that I teach a full five-class schedule per semester, sit on multiple faculty committees, advise students on class registration and collegiate life, and attend department meetings. I am historian who likes inspecting how political movements change their philosophy over time, and what outside factors influence them. I am an avid consumer of news. I am currently working on converting my dissertation into several publishable works. I also love teaching, including introductory level classes where you truly get to work with fresh, young minds and converting them into history geeks such as myself! |
