Rhonda L. George University of Oklahoma The University of Oklahoma invites applications for a tenure-track position in sub-Saharan African history at the rank of assistant professor. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in hand by August, 15, 2012. Regional, subject, and chronological specializations are open, but preference may be given to candidates whose research and teaching interests complement the department's existing graduate strengths in environmental, borderlands, and ethnohistory. Applicants must submit a letter of application, a curriculum vitae, three letters of recommendation, and an article length writing sample. Please do not send materials electronically.
